Travelling

When travelling abroad sometimes a vaccination for polio is advised. There are still countries that are considered to be a risk for polio.

Even if you have been vaccinated as a child an extra “booster” vaccination might be necessary.
If you had polio, but have not been vaccinated, you may not have immunity against all 3 types of the polioviruses and may need polio vaccination.

Always seek specialised health advice on this.
