Why we ask for Your Support?

As a voluntarily operated association, we do not receive support from the government or the EU. Instead, we rely on the annual membership fees from our organizations. You can find more information about our aims and objectives, as well as our income and expenses (which are quite frugal), discussed during our annual gathering. All directors contribute both financially and in kind. Our main expenses include bank charges, accountancy fees, website costs, legal fees required by Belgian law, membership fees for groups like EURORDIS and EFNA, and costs associated with our Annual General Meeting (AGM), at which we strive to subsidize attendance fees.

Although, thankfully, polio can be said to be a ‘dying disease,’ there are still many hundreds of thousands of ‘post-polio survivors in the Council of Europe countries who need a unified voice.
